Alie Waldman Home was founded in 2004 and is a full service interior design firm. At Alie Waldman Home, we specialize in custom renovation, remodeling and new build design. Our mission is to create one-of-a-kind homes based on our client's individual aesthetic and functional needs.
We believe a happy house is one that functions well for its occupants. With over 25 years of industry experience Alie Waldman Home possesses the knowledge and skill to help our clients attain the home of their dreams.

Alie Waldman
Founder & Lead Designer
Alie Waldman Lapidus grew up in Los Angeles. She attended Brown University where she received her undergraduate degree in Art- Semiotics studying architecture, art and media. After graduation she moved home where she found her passion for interiors while renovating a historical property with her family. Alie then attended FIDM where she mastered the skills needed to create and transform space. Alie loves to solve puzzles, and views each project as a unique puzzle to solve, finding each homes’ aesthetic where the home itself, the client, and their needs and desires all converge.
Melissa Friedman
Senior Designer
A Los Angeles native, Melissa Friedman received her bachelor's degree at Indiana University focusing on marketing and communications. Like Alie, Melissa discovered her passion and eye for design while assisting a family home remodel.
Melissa believes that a home should represent the client's aesthetic, personality and lifestyle. She enjoys getting to know each client personally in an effort to make their home a welcoming and relaxing reflection of their wants and needs without sacrificing style or comfort. Her creativity, attention to detail, management skills and ability to make quick decisions has made her an asset on Alie’s team
